Notice CTV TV highlighted the story as "school gun scare" in their February 10, 2004 broadcast, but acknowledged "no gun found".
What is happening here?
Is the RCMP engaging in a propaganda campaign to salvage waning support for their massive gun registry/confiscation program?? Or is this simply another excuse to train your children to obey?

In Coquitlam British Columbia, on Tuesday Feb
10, 2004, RCMP officers stormed Centennial High School after an "anonymous
caller" allegedly reported "a gunman was loose in the school".
Students inside were forced to the ground at gun point by RCMP
officers (some plain-clothed) carrying illegal and fully automatic machine
guns [see photo below of one
officer at scene]. Students were gathered
outside, searched individually, and ordered to put their hands behind their
heads at gun point.
45 heavily armed RCMP officers swarmed the school, and even positioned several snipers on the roof of the school [Photos below].
Despite the military style siege of the school by mostly plain clothed officers, police offered no apology; even though may students expressed being terrified after automatic weapons were pointed at their heads, as they were searched outside the school.

In another incident at McNair Secondary School, curiously at approximately the same time as the above raid, a replica handgun was recovered by police several hours after school was closed for the day.
Police now [as of February 12, 2004] claim the gun
recovered was real Glock 17 9-mm pistol.

Follow-up Story! The Day After this story [above] was covered by Global (and BCTV) news, the RCMP held a news conference somehow claiming an "epidemic of handguns at ALL BC SCHOOLS".

Would you believe they are at it AGAIN!!!! It's only been 12 days [Feb 25/2004] since the one reported above!
Must be some big time federal legislation coming for them to go to this much trouble fear mongering about "alarming increases" in gun crimes. Guess one billion on gun control is not going to cut it... prepare to fork over more of your money to the government and their puppet police forces.[see below story on increased police funding, and the media icon used in their announcement.
Does the AK-47 he's so proudly holding like and old friend, actually work?? Many of these weapons simply don't fire reliably, or fire semi-auto only..... As opposed to the weapons used by the RCMP on their raid of Centennial High School, which appear in the first story photos, and are fully automatic "illegal" weapons used on the people [even high school students apparently] of Canada.
Perhaps the Government would care to show some leadership and disarm the police? Then start respecting the right of individuals to own private property, and their right to self defence; the same right that would also apply to an officer of the peace, if we still had any of those in Canada.
What we have are 'wardens of the state' who protect government power and legislative rules and regulations, passed as "law" through an almost cultish right of passage to the status of 'Act'... for which everyone must bow down in holy reverence, whether there are any fundamental principles of justice contained within the 'Act' or not.

US teachers stage mock gun attack - May 14, 2007
Teachers at a US school have been criticised after staging a fake gun attack during a class
trip, telling children it was not a drill.
Many of the 69 pupils, aged about 11, were reduced to tears when they were told to hide
under tables and keep quiet as a gunman was on the loose.
Can you not see how the government is disarming its citizens, and building up their arsenals? Why the next thing you know, they will even arrest you for non-lethal weapons - which they use themselves naturally. Did you forget that in a free and democratic society government is a servant in the protection of our rights and freedoms? They never taught you that in school, but it is absolutely the truth.

Three Greater Victoria residents were shocked when their parcels containing two stun guns arrived in the mail from the U.S. -- accompanied by police officers, handcuffs and multiple criminal charges.
