Arrests halt fathers' rights demos
By Finian Davern, Evening Standard

The group campaigning for the rights of fathers separated from their children
has called off protests planned for today after police raids on the homes
of its members.
Nine protesters from Fathers 4 Justice have been arrested in the past two days
for staging demos dressed as comic book heroes on bridges and gantries above
major roads in London and Bristol. The roads had to be cordoned off for safety
reasons, causing delays for motorists. The men's homes have been raided by
police who seized computers, campaign material and photographs.
"It's been hectic and we want to take stock," said Matt O'Connor, a Fathers 4
Justice spokesman.
