A contract for the purchase of unnecessary Challenger VIP aircraft cost $100 million, but no aircraft were ever acquired. At least another $100 million was wasted on inappropriate contracts, deals and pay-offs.

The infamous sponsorship scandal cost taxpayers some $250 million.

Ottawa inappropriately sent out $350 million in home heating subsidies to deceased persons and federal inmates during the heating crisis.

The penalty paid in order to cancel the Sea King helicopter replacement contract cost another $500 million, and the helicopters still continue to endanger the lives of Canadian troops.
